Asteroid 2024 YR4 Visualization

I built this open-source app because I'm fascinated by asteroids and constantly get questions about my thoughts on 2024 YR4. This visualization tool helps me explain the asteroid's size in context and educate others about it. It's also useful for putting things into perspective and calming some of the wilder concerns people have expressed.

How It Works

This Next.js app provides a visual comparison of asteroid 2024 YR4 with two other well-known objects:

1. Bennu: The best asteroid.
2. Chicxulub Impactor: The massive asteroid that led to the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs.
